Privacy Policy
Effective August 28, 2026
This policy explains how Beauty AI Kiosk handles information across its public website, merchant console, iPad application, and supporting services. It applies to website visitors, clothing-store businesses, their authorized staff, and shoppers who use an enrolled in-store iPad.
1. Who is responsible
Beauty AI Kiosk is operated by David Voskanyan, a sole trader in the United Arab Emirates. Beauty AI Kiosk operates the website, application, merchant console, and supporting technology. A participating clothing store controls its catalog, locations, devices, staff access, and in-store use of the service. Depending on the context and applicable law, Beauty AI Kiosk and the participating store may each be responsible for the information they control.
2. Information we process
Website visitors
Our servers may receive an IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referral information, website analytics events, and security or error records when someone visits the website. Website analytics are described in Section 8.
Merchants and staff
We process business contact and account details, authentication and role information, store settings, catalog records, inventory, prices, sizes, product images, enrolled-device status, support messages, subscription status, and operational analytics supplied or managed by the participating store.
Shopper sessions
During an in-store session, the iPad may process the selected language, free-text styling request, style and color preferences, excluded colors, accessory preferences, top and bottom sizes, optional shoe size, selected catalog products and variants, and generated outfit details. A shopper does not need to create an account or provide a name, email address, telephone number, age, or budget.
Optional personal photo
Personal virtual try-on is optional. If a shopper chooses it, the app requests camera access, checks that one face is visible, and crops the image locally on the iPad before upload. The photo is used to create the requested visualization, not to identify the shopper or infer age, health, ethnicity, body type, height, weight, or other biometric or body attributes. The mannequin experience remains available without a personal photo.
Device, usage, and diagnostic data
We process enrolled merchant, store, and device identifiers; app and build version; session and request identifiers; timestamps; consent records; service status; security assertions; duration and error information; and limited product-interaction events. These records help authenticate devices, operate the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. They are not used for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Payments and subscriptions
Website subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and payment provider for checkout unless an order states otherwise. Paddle collects payment method, billing, tax, fraud-prevention, transaction, and subscription information under its own privacy terms. Beauty AI Kiosk receives the customer, transaction, and subscription records needed to provide access, reconcile billing, and support the merchant, but does not receive complete payment-card details. The iPad app does not process subscription checkout.
3. Why we use information
We use information only as reasonably necessary to:
- provide and secure the website, merchant console, and enrolled iPads;
- create and administer merchant accounts, stores, catalogs, and devices;
- match a shopper request to products and variants in the participating store's catalog;
- create mannequin or consented personal outfit visualizations;
- show selected products, sizes, SKUs, and store locations to authorized staff during a local handoff on the same iPad;
- manage subscriptions, access, support, security, and legal records;
- measure reliability and aggregate product use without building an advertising profile of an individual shopper.
Depending on applicable law, this processing is based on performance of a contract, legitimate operational and security interests, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where consent is specifically requested.
4. Google Gemini and personal AI consent
Beauty AI Kiosk uses the Google Gemini API to produce outfit recommendations, visualizations, and output-quality checks. A request may include the styling brief, selected sizes, product and variant details, relevant catalog images, a store mannequin or studio reference, and a current or previous generated visualization.
For personal virtual try-on, the temporary cropped face photo is also sent to Google Gemini. Camera permission alone does not authorize that transfer. Before upload, the app identifies Google Gemini, explains the categories of information and purpose, and requires the shopper to choose the explicit “Agree and create my look” action. No personal photo is sent if the shopper declines. The shopper may delete the temporary photo and use the mannequin experience instead.
Google processes submitted content to provide and protect the API service. Its handling and limited retention of service data are also governed by the Google terms and configuration applicable to the API account. Beauty AI Kiosk does not use shopper photos or session submissions to train its own models, sell them, or create advertising profiles.
5. Camera and photo handling
- Camera access is requested only for optional personal try-on.
- The single-face check and crop happen locally on the iPad.
- The original and cropped photo are not saved to the Photos app.
- The raw face photo is not stored in the merchant console or the Beauty AI Kiosk production database.
- The app clears its temporary photo file and in-memory reference when the session ends, is reset, or expires.
- Store staff receive selected product and size information, not the shopper's raw face photo.
6. Service providers and disclosures
Information may be disclosed only as reasonably necessary to:
- Google for the Gemini API processing described in Section 4;
- Paddle for checkout, tax, fraud prevention, subscription administration, refunds, and buyer support;
- cloud hosting, database, security, communications, monitoring, and technical providers that support the service under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations;
- Yandex Metrica and LinkedIn Insight Tag for public-website analytics, performance measurement, campaign attribution, and conversion measurement;
- the participating clothing store and its authorized staff for account, catalog, device, support, and local in-store operations;
- authorities or other parties when required by law, necessary to protect people or the service, or part of a lawful business transaction with appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell shopper personal information. We do not use kiosk information for third-party behavioral advertising or track shoppers across apps and websites owned by other companies.
7. Retention and deletion
A raw face photo is transient. It is kept only long enough to submit the requested personal visualization and return the result. The backend does not persist the raw photo, and the iPad clears its temporary copy at session completion, reset, or timeout.
Active shopper sessions expire within 24 hours by default. Routine operational and error logs are normally retained for up to 30 days, and security, consent, billing, and audit records for up to 365 days, unless a shorter period applies or a longer period is required for a legal, accounting, security, or dispute purpose. Merchant account and catalog information is retained while the account is active and then only as needed for legitimate operational or legal obligations. Payment providers and other independent providers apply their own documented retention periods.
8. Website analytics and storage
The public website uses Yandex Metrica analytics and LinkedIn Insight Tag conversion measurement to help us understand page performance, navigation, campaign attribution, and technical quality. Analytics scripts load when the page loads and may use cookies or similar browser storage, page URLs, referrers, device and browser data, and interaction events such as clicks or page activity. Essential storage may also be used for security, session, and preference functions that are necessary to provide the requested service.
9. Choices and privacy rights
- Use the mannequin experience without providing a face photo.
- Decline personal AI processing before upload; the temporary photo is then deleted without being sent to Google Gemini.
- End or reset a kiosk session to clear temporary local state.
- Change camera permission in iPadOS settings.
- Use browser or device privacy controls to limit website analytics where available.
- Request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of personal information where applicable law provides that right.
A shopper may contact the participating clothing store or team@beautyai.app. Because shoppers do not create kiosk accounts, a request should identify the store and approximate session date and time. Do not send a face photo or complete payment details with a request. We may need limited information to verify the requester and locate a record.
10. Children
Beauty AI Kiosk is business software for supervised clothing-store settings and is not directed to children. The service does not ask for or infer age. Participating stores must supervise in-store use, comply with local rules for minors, and prevent use of AI features where the applicable provider terms or law require an adult user.
11. Security and international processing
We use measures such as encryption in transit, restricted production access, device authentication, request-integrity checks, role-based merchant access, and retention controls. No system can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information in countries other than the user's country; where required, we rely on contractual and legal safeguards for those transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version. If a change materially expands how personal information is used, we will provide an updated notice and obtain additional consent where required before that use begins.
13. Contact
Privacy questions and rights requests may be sent to team@beautyai.app. Please identify the request as relating to Beauty AI Kiosk and include only the minimum information needed to address it.
